Re: i hate August

I'm sorry to read that August has some painful memories associated with it @Rare. Try to be gentle with yourself and remember there are no hard and fast rules about grief, it takes time. I have particularly hard times around anniversaries of some big losses in my life, I'd like to think the process of grief is very human and natural.

Take care xo

Re: i hate August

Hi @Rare

That is horrific - feel so for you. The pain of this is unspeakable. Have you considered attending a support group for those who have lost loved ones to suicide or grief counselling? Please don't hesitate to reach out for support - to contact lifeline or griefline if it gets too much. Sending a warm hug xxxx

Re: i hate August

Finding the dead body of someone you care for is one of the most traumatic experiences a person can have. @Rare

As @Queenie says grief is complex and has no time limit.

I hope forumland can offer some insights an support to help in your journey.

Re: i hate August

I'm so sorry to hear how truly unbearable things are feeling for you right now @Rare. I'm so glad you decided to reach out for support. Just dropping in to remind you that you don't need to go through this alone. If at any time, you'd like some counselling or crisis support you can contact Lifeline on 13 11 14. We've sent you an email with some more support options too. Look after yourself for now 🌻
