Someone on reddit said they would send me $120 through Payid so I gave him my details and I’m now really anxious I’m going to get scammed

He said he would help because I was saying about how I really need a job and stuff

Do you know whether it was a scam for real?

well I don’t know I gave them my phone number and then nothing happened I haven’t got any money from them yet

It was really dumb they just said they could help

I'm not sure how getting someone's phone number will be helpful @ArraDreaming . Then again, I'm not sure someone would just hand over money to a stranger?

It all sounds weird. Just look out for changes in bank statements etc even if it's a 1cent deduction from something strange.
