But @L-B , I thought you got another new role? Or is it the new role where there is a difficult person?
Is working with this difficult person something you feel you want to work on? I'm mindful that soemtimes, even with our own business, we have difficult people to work with.
I've certainly had a lot of difficult people I've worked with! I found it was an important challenge for me to step outside my comfort zone and learn from these challenges.
Please know though, that we totally respect and will support whatever you decide.

Hey @tyme , the new role is several months old and it's been challenging because of the person I work with...if I can afford to work for myself I will.
Others I work with have said how difficult this person is and that they could never work with them. So I know it's not just me.
And at least 4 different people have expressed their concerns about them..I have to work very closely with them so it's quite uncomfortable and stressful and although they are not older than me they are senior in their duties. I think it made me physically ill recently when I took time off.

Were you ever able to speak to management about this person? It sounds like a health and safety issue. I remember I mentioned about psychological safety in the workplace.. it sounds like this person is causing a bit of grief! @L-B
And definitely. If you can work for yourself, why not?

@tyme I spoke to a manager and resolved a single issue but it's hard to identify their behaviour being persistently bullying despite some employees including me feeling unsafe around them.

I suppose it's worth asking myself @tyme if they're not a bully then why do I feel unsafe around them.

They seem angry at least and yes perhaps intimidating @tyme . Can't seem to put my finger on it but I don't like feeling unsafe at work.
yesterday
Totally @L-B . NO one deserves to feel unsafe at work.
In a way, nowadays, I've built up the courage to move towards things like this, so for me, I would be asking, "You look angry. Is everything okay?" And you know what? A statement like this may melt them. Sometimes we dont' konw what is going on in their lives.
But I'm mindful that this can be harder than it soudns for a lot of people. It's taken me years to be able to do things like this.
