Thanks @TAB it keeps me thrifty most weeks and gives me necessary preparedness skills.
This loaf will last me two weeks and I made it for around $3 compared to $8 and the $8 one only lasts a week $10 saving.
The vegan icecream in the shops is about $12 a tub! I am now buying tins of coconut milk and cream for $1 each and throw in miniscule amounts of macadamias (woolies has a tiny packed of chopped ones) A saving of roughly $10.
Learning to make my own yoghurt. All you do is throw in a probiotic in the coconut milk and stir and allow it to sit in yoghurt maker for 24 hours a saving of $7.
I want to somehow get to a spring and fill up my water containers so I can save on filtered water. A saving of $27.
So thats roughly $55 off a food shop per week.

@TAB If you want to get out fluoride, forever chemicals, chlorine and other contaminants those water filters don't work unfortunately. I have experimented with all kinds of water filters over the years. You have to read third party testing reports to see which filters get out what. The water here is really bad now and I have used a gravity fed system with dual filtration. I hold on to my filters in case there is supply issues and rely on a brand from the supermarket while I stock up on filtration cartridges. In years gone by I used to go to a mineral spring because it was free. Would like to get out there again but have transportation issues. Its so far away and I don't own a car

@TAB I store the cartridges for now as during the pandemic it was hard to source from the USA. I have a Berkey gravity fed filtration system which is one of the better ones. But Berkey have been having an ongoing court case in the US as of recent date so once again the cartridges have been hard to source.
There is a new company on the scene that is Australian based called Filter-roo and the cartridges are interchangeable with the Berkey system. Theyre meant to be quite good. I've read the independent lab testing and it looks promising plus its cheaper than Berkey filters. So I'll either go with them or another one which has greater ease of installation as its not a dual system and does not have to be primed before you install them.
But in the interim I drink Nobles Pureau which is the purest water on the market recommended by doctors which you can buy from the supermarket. Theres been reports that the other bottled water is a scam and I had Neverfail tested by a technician once with test strips and there was nothing 'filtered' about it at all. It was not pure spring water in any sense of the word
