Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

ammm me , lots of different feelings @Former-Member

tired, trying to learn how to listen to my body more , aching

confusing sometimes to get things under control

different instructions from family , -- I should do this , I should do that, need to slow down , hubby wants to do less / then he wants to do more

tired of gps and specialists , not too bad but hubby thinks we are missing out on work

but then today we worked this morning and mr shaz wanted to work this afternoon , got home at 1pm and had the afternoon off

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Our D1 has brought us plane tickets to fly to her place for a week holiday next year @Former-Member, @Smc, @Determined, @Appleblossom, @Adge

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

That is very kind of her @Shaz51

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

That should be  a lovely break away for you @Shaz51 😀

Is that in Darwin or down south ?

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Darwin @Determined, @Former-Member Smiley Very Happy

Mr shaz said tonight that he knows he will be wanting to get back home within a couple of days

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Feeling your pain there @Shaz51

On every one of our holidays my Darling has wanted to turn around and head home before we even reach our destination.

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

that is what happened last year ,  we drove 15 hours to our S3 and the second day there he wanted to go home , he could not stay @Determined

so then we went and visited S2 and then Mr shaz`s sister on the way home

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Is plane ticket flexible just in case @Shaz51?

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

I have done some crazy big days driving to get my darling home sooner @Shaz51

Biggest was over 18 hours towing a caravan. (most of which she slept for).

But I do it because it makes a difference and she does appreciate me accommodating her anxiety in circumstances like that, even if some times it is a delayed expression of appreciation so not complaining. it can be frustrating though 😞

I really feel for my darling when she cant relax while we are away. And usually when we get back she cant remember the anxiety only the good time we had so it is worth going away.

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

I am hoping that by limiting our next holiday to 4 days it will make a difference @Shaz51   @Determined
